The Hydrus JoyRide XL is the all-around iSUP built for paddlers who load up. 11 foot 6 inch by 34 inch deck, Armalight Air construction, 400 lb total capacity. Stable enough that first-time paddlers, kids riding along, and dogs on the bow all feel solid. Wide enough to set up gear-heavy sessions: coolers strapped down, fishing kit, multi-day touring loads.
Where it sits in the lineup: this is the bigger, wider sibling of the standard JoyRide (11 foot by 32 inch). The XL trades nothing in speed : same rocker profile, same FusionWeave Dropstitch core, same Armalight Air shell, same fin system. Internal tests show the two boards finish flat-water sprints within a stroke of each other. The XL just adds the deck width and capacity that the standard JoyRide doesn't have.
Honest fit: if you're a solo paddler under 200 lb who wants quick maneuvering, the standard JoyRide is the right call. If you're regularly above 220 lb, paddling with family and gear, or you want the calmest stability surface for yoga or fishing, the XL is the right call.

The Joyride is by far the best board I have ever owned. I feel completely at ease in the ocean waves or the shallow waters of the mangroves.
This board is extremely stable and handles the water like no other. Payette lake is notorious for its waves and wind.
First trip out was down Silver Springs to see manatee, river otter, blue tilapia, and so much other wildlife.
Super stiff and stable, tracks really well and has more maneuverability than I'd have expected for its size. The material and build looks bombproof.
I bought it because I was looking for something durable for my size (6'4", 300lbs). I have to say I am extremely happy with it.
