Limited Number Drop – Blisscuit River Surfboard
🌊 "The Most Thoughtful River Surfboard Ever Designed" -Boarders Magazine
Hand-shaped by Jason Zawadzki in Eagle, Idaho, the Blisscuit River Surfboard represents decades of experience and relentless refinement. Designed to maximize flotation without sacrificing performance, this board combines exceptional volume with a compact, streamlined footprint.
If you’re after a high-performance board for mushy, slow waves—or if you need maximum float in the shortest length and narrowest width possible—the Blisscuit delivers.
What Surfers Are Saying
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I travel quite a bit and get to surf a lot of different waves. I initially bought this board to fit into my quiver of larger river boards. I think it must be the high flotation and speed, but I can shred really small waves where I'd normally need a much larger board. It excels in small, mushy waves, but my Blisscuit has become my high-performance stick for just about every wave, big or small."
– Pat D.
Why the Blisscuit Stands Out
Every Blisscuit is a personal project—Jason’s commitment to creating the ultimate river surfboard for riders who value performance and versatility. This isn’t just a surfboard; it’s a tool shaped to elevate your time on the water, wave after wave.
Maximized Floatation for Any Wave
The Blisscuit’s design focuses on achieving the highest possible volume within a compact footprint. This means:
- More lift for mushy or slow waves where other boards struggle.
- Optimized for larger riders who want high performance without bulky dimensions.
- A favorite for riders seeking the smallest possible board that still provides ample float for their ideal wave.
Handcrafted Performance
Shaped by Jason with meticulous care, the Blisscuit features:
- Parallel Rails: Built for speed and efficiency, cutting through the wave effortlessly.
- Diamond-Shaped Nose + Rounded Square Tail: Balances control with lift, enabling the board to thrive in both small, mushy waves and larger, punchier surf.
- Dialed-In Rocker Line: Years of testing resulted in a slightly kicked-up tail and carefully graduated nose, creating optimal speed and rail-to-rail responsiveness.
Built for Versatility
- Perfect for both slow waves and advanced maneuvers on more dynamic river features.
- Delivers a balance of control, speed, and lift—whether you’re a larger rider or someone looking to shred on a smaller board.

The Art of Armalight Boards: Craftsmanship Meets Innovation
At Hydrus, each of our Armalight boards is meticulously handcrafted in the USA. This hands-on approach ensures an unparalleled commitment to quality, though it may lead to slight variations in weight and appearance. Such differences, within a range of +/-3lbs, are entirely normal and do not affect the board's performance. In fact, slightly heavier boards offer better durability and retain speed more effectively between paddle strokes.
Balancing Durability and Weight: Creating a handmade-rugged board may result in excessive weight. Our goal is to find the perfect equilibrium between resilience and weight, considering both the intended use and the preferences of the rider.
Innovative Surface Design: Inspired by cutting-edge watercraft, our matte finish gives our boards a mildly textured surface. This texture reduces the water's surface tension, allowing the board to glide more smoothly.
Care and Caution: There are a few factors that can threaten the integrity of any SUP, such as standing on it while on dry land, strapping the hold-down straps too tightly, or exposing the board to excessive heat without a cover. Be especially mindful of radiant heat from vehicles, which can reach the softening point of our premium EPS foam, around 190°F.
Simple Repairs: Fixing an Armalight board is often easier than repairing fiberglass or plastic. Need help? We're here for you – just reach out, and we'll guide you through the process.
Protection Recommendation: We strongly advise using one of our Heat Shield Board Covers to preserve your board. Insulated board bags are also suitable, but we advise against board socks.
Welcome to the world of Hydrus's Armalight boards, where attention to detail, innovation, and the joy of paddling converge. Our commitment to quality ensures a board that is not just a piece of equipment but a trusted companion on the water.
